Any help on that would be greatly appreciated. Making your creatures harder to block also helps with the Captain’s subsequent abilities.

One of the perks it gives is menace, so your creatures are a lot harder to block if you build a deck with only horrors.

One thing I have noticed is that it is wanting to play dragons, but having a hard time playing them because of how high their cmc. Captain Nghathrod is a great tribal commander since it benefits from and gives benefits to its fellow horror creatures. This all plays to what Dimir and Sivitri wants, control, sabotage, and go in for a fast kill. Not only does he tap opponents creatures, which stops them from attacking, but also makes it harder for him to be removed. Much of the dragons in this color combination offer things that have interactions with the board. But, the doesn’t mean that Dimir has no dragons. So, you could lean into the pillow fort/sleep/feeeze type effect to restrict opponents from attacking you, which in it of itself protects Sivitri, but allows your dragons to swing out of able to do so. Her +1 reads, “Until your next turn, creatures can’t attack you or planeswalkers you control unless their controller pays 2 life for each of those creatures.” This is similar to cards like ] and ], but with opponents life. She is a dragons tribal type commander, but there is an odd subtheme that fits her is some combination of pillow fort/sleep/freeze effects. ] is one spicy commander from Dominaria United.
